The snow is piling up in Regina at this hour and is expected to
continue into Wednesday evening. Environment Canada has issued warnings
for southern Saskatchewan, not including Regina as yet however their
website is only showing text warnings for now. Apparently the graphics
guy has the night off. The descriptive department seems to be working
fine as they state: "A total of 10 to 20 cm of fluffy snow is forecast
with this storm with areas of higher terrain getting the larger
amounts." And in case they are guessing too high, they state: "Areas of
Saskatchewan closer to the transcanada highway will see a total of 5 to
10 cm of snow with this system."

So, lets just say it going to be a lot of snow.

Travel is never recommended but people in Saskatchewan never listen to
that so I am gonna say, go slow, bring your shovel and be prepared for
super freeze temperatures if you get stuck.

I'll be going out around noon tomorrow to shoot some video as this
snowstorm should be at its peak by then. Depending on how things go,
expect to see some spectacular footage by late afternoon.

Snow Storm #4 Coming From Utah

Estimate numbers continue to increase as this next storm gets closer. It looks like it could catch Environment Canada by surprise as it comes from the south. Winter storm warnings stretch from Utah to Montana as this major system will hit southern Saskatchewan tonight and into Wednesday.

Third Regina Snowstorm This Season

According to the 3 day forecast, Environment Canada is saying Regina is about to get 7 to 15 cm of snow by Thursday. This could turn into blizzard type conditions and numbers may increase to over 30 cm (1 foot) in some areas. This will be the third snowstorm already this season. The previous two were vastly under estimated due to extremely moist conditions already present.

Remembrance Day Poppy

Lest We Forget - Remembrance Day

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.

Trying Not To Lose My Head

Music by @djsugardaddy306

Its like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under.

Note: No animals were hurt filming this video. Many trees were getting chopped up and farmland was being destroyed by these bad ass baby beavers according to rural "leaders".

via CBC Saskatchewan
"Rural leaders say beavers are flooding farmland and are calling for a $20-per-beaver bounty. Tell us what you think in our latest poll? It seems wrong to kill beavers, Canada's national symbol. I approve. These rodents are a nuisance and must be controlled. They can kill beavers, just leave the taxpayer out of it"

Today's Snowstorm

Update:
Environment Canada has extended the snowfall warning into the evening for Regina and areas north and east of here. They may have given up trying to guess the amounts as it piles up all day. I shoveled about 5 to 10 cm this morning on the sidewalk and 2 to 5 on the driveway. The deepest it got was beside the garage and that was 20 to 30 cm deep. As I drink my hot chocolate and do another snow inspection around the house (knowing that I can not actually go anywhere else today without snow boots), the same areas have been blanketed with another 15 to 25% of original totals. In other words, there is a lot more shoveling to do and the snow is coming down heavy again as the sun goes down.

Good Chapter

After reading chapter 84 of Eat Pray Love, I thought I should make a short blog to note how good it made me feel.

Ketut the Indonesian medicine man is asked why is the world so crazy. He responds by saying, Man is demon and Man is god. Both true. Then he is asked, how do we find peace? He says, meditation. Then he goes on to teach a Balinese tradition called, Four Brothers Meditation. Everyone is born with four spirit brothers that protect us since conception. Those brothers are always there with you and protect you while you sleep.

There was a lot more to it in the book. I will have to read this chapter again tomorrow and if you want to know more, go buy the book!

Another great goose shot!
